Everyone there is so friendly. The tea, coffee and pastries were delicious. They had vegan pastries which I don’t usually eat but they were very good. The blueberry turnover crust was flaky. A nice relaxing morning with breakfast and a book!

Add another book to the backlog stack. While creating my list of things I wanted to see and do around Oro Valley, I stumbled upon Stacks. It’s a combination bookstore and coffeehouse. What a perfect pairing, in my opinion. We just so happened to have an early dinner planned at Fork & Fire and I noticed Stacks was right around the corner, so I asked if we could stop there first before getting grub. Without hesitation, Emily’s parents said a-ok! This place reminded me of The Brewed Book in Davenport, IA. It’s first and foremost a bookstore but one that happens to serve coffee. There are tall bookshelves that run around the perimeter of the store with plenty of offerings and hidden gems to be found. Since we flew to Arizona, I wasn’t personally looking to grab a book to read on the way home since I already had one. My main goal was coffee and maybe some little trinkets and those are exactly what I got. I got my usual Americano since we were just about to put down some massive food while Emily got her usual latte. Said Americano was your standard Americano, so nothing to really note there. It was just what I needed. Emily said her latte (I forgot what type she got) was really good, too. The baristas were super nice and even hooked me up with a sticker they put on their cup when I asked for one. We sat inside for a few minutes to enjoy our drinks and soak up the atmosphere of Stacks. I gotta say, this is the kind of place I would come to for a coffee and a few chapters in a book. Along with my coffee, I did grab a t-shirt and a few stickers to help support the store.

Excellent drinks, book and gift selection, and even more excellent vibes. This is a great place to go get something to drink and just read, journal or chat with a friend in the comfortable seating. Being surrounded by all the cute things to buy (books included!) is fun even if you don't have the money for it all right now... You can get a little something.

This place is so cute, ive nkw been here twice and enjoy the atmosphere and vibes of it all. The store is small but it works! There is so much seating and the selection of books is actually pretty good. This is now one of my go to book stores and places to chill.

Love this indie bookstore in Oro Valley! Try a sparkling lemonade drink, pick up a book, get a gift for a friend (candle, bookmark, sticker) and support a local business! Only independent bookstore I know of in this area. Always lots of people hanging out and reading books, as well as book clubs to join.

you have to try this place! i have been going here for a while with my boyfriend and it always exceeds my expectations. when you walk inside, the atmosphere is so cozy and colorful. you can tell the employees love what they do & are always willing to help with drink decisions. usually the coffee is not on the sweeter side but they can totally tailor it to fit the sweetness you desire. the bagels and rotating pop tarts are actually the BEST pastries ever, without a doubt. it does get fairly busy inside but there is a lot to browse at if you’re waiting for a table. the inside stays fairly clean despite the rushes. so excited that they are planning to open up another location soon

The fact that this is a destination coffee shop yet very nearly full to capacity on my visit speaks a great deal to its attractivenes. At 10:30 on a Friday morning the shop was packed with people who drove specifically to patronize the shop. There were groups of women with (quiet) preschool children in tow, there were individuals working on their laptops, small groups of two or three friends, and some people sipping their coffee while reading a book (of all things to do in a Bookstore/coffee shop.) At the time of my visit, 90% of the seats were occupied, but I did find a place to sit at the bar looking out the front windows. There was one table available in the outdoor patio, but this was Arizona in August and it was already 99° outside. I only sampled the drip coffee. It was a medium light roast, very flavorful and smooth, and reasonably priced. I did not to sample the assortment of pastries, but they certainly looked attractive. In the end, I decided this was a neighborhood coffee shop, despite the fact that no one can walk here from home and it is essentially a drive up destination. It seems like a great place to meet friends, or a reasonably quiet space to get some digital work done while enjoying a good coffee.

I loved spending the day writing in this cozy shop! The coffee was tasty and the vibe was just right. They hosted a bookclub meeting while I was there on a Tuesday afternoon and it was such a joy to see a group of senior book lovers get together to support each other through their health journeys. If I was here longer I would check out some of their other book club events! Seemed like such a fun time!
